Thanks~

Assalamualaikum and good night. :)
How do you do?
know what? what?
I just finish saw my school work. It's not that I saw my homework, I saw my "wood". Well I don't really saw it since I asked my beloved father to help me because I afraid that I'll cut my hand even though I know it won't happen. I only do the simple thing like measuring and marking. But, I did a little sawing you know. I saw 1/2 of 1 of wood. hehe.  for your info, it's a hard work okay.

While my beloved father was sawing, I thought about the jigsaw. Who made it? How he/she made it?
Like always I use wikipedia and search Jigsaw. So, jigsaw is a tool that used for cut curves, such as stencil designs or other custom shapes into a piece of wood, metal or other material. Although jigsaw can be use to cut patterns and make a straight line, don't underestimate it because it's hard to use even with a guide. Jigsaw saw known as scroll saws or manufacturer said as bayonet saw.

In 1946, an engineer of Scintilla AG company in Solothurn, Switzerland, Albert Kaufmann, replaced a needle on his wife's sewing machine with a saw blade. After development of Kaufmann's invention, in 1947, Scintilla started producing jigsaw with a name, Lesto Jigsaw. In 1954, Bosch derived Scintilla and in 1989 "Lesto" was replaced with Bosch.
